Naseem Shah got a double blow, after being fined a record amount of Rs 2 crore, he is now out of the entire tournament.
Delhi: Pakistan Cricket Board i.e. PCB has taken strict action against Naseem Shah because of a tweet made on Maryam Nawaz. Just a week after this controversy, Rawalpindi fast bowler Naseem has been ruled out of the entire tournament, the main reason for which has come to light.
Let us tell you that a heavy fine of Rs 2 crore has been imposed on Naseem for tweeting against the daughter of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan. This is the biggest fine ever in the history of Pakistan cricket. However, his exclusion from PSL 2026 has nothing to do with this fine.

Why was Naseem Shah out of PSL?
Rawalpindi team has told that Naseem got injured in the left side of his waist during the match against Karachi Kings. The team hopes that if he becomes fit soon, he can make a comeback.
23-year-old Naseem could not even complete his over against Karachi Kings. While bowling, he suddenly felt pain in the left side of his waist and he went out of the field after bowling only 2 balls of his third over.

The remaining four balls of his over were bowled by New Zealand player Cole McConkie. In this match, Karachi Kings won by losing 5 wickets in 19.2 overs while chasing a big target of 198 runs.
Naseem Shah played only two matches in PSL 2026
Naseem Shah is currently counted among the premium fast bowlers of Pakistan. However, he could play only two matches in the current season of PSL. He was badly beaten in the last match against Peshawar Zalmi. Naseem had given away 51 runs and did not get a single wicket. Naseem’s exit from the tournament can prove to be a big blow for the Rawalpindi team.
