Lyon gave a statement after being out of the match saying that he came to know in the morning at the stadium that he would not play in this match.
He said, “I reached the stadium today around 12 in the morning, after which I came to know around 12:30 that I am not playing in this match. Yes, I am completely angry about it, but I can’t do anything about it. I can only hope that I can help the team in preparing their players. If I tell you honestly, I am not sitting with Ronnie or George yet. I am still keeping things in my mind. “I am sitting and deciding that I can do everything I can for those who are representing the Australian team.”
Mikes Neser was included in the team in place of Lyon. Lyon said that he wants to contribute to the team by understanding things now and will help in preparing the other players.
