How were the best films selected?
This year’s National Film Awards include all those films which have received certification from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) i.e. Censor Board between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024. The responsibility of selecting these films and choosing the winners was handed over to a very special jury of 11 members. This high-profile jury is headed by famous filmmaker Jayaraj. Jayaraj had earlier also been a part of the jury of the National Film Awards in 2012. After reviewing the entries from across the country, the panel finalized this year’s winners.
