- About 50 Trinamool Congress MLAs are currently upset with the party
- There will soon be a big split in the Trinamool Congress and around 20 MPs will leave the party
West Bengal Politics: The Trinamool Congress, which lost power in the West Bengal assembly elections, is currently experiencing major developments. Many MLAs and MPs have taken an open stand against party chief Mamata Banerjee. Trinamool MLAs and MPs are absent from the meetings called by them and are criticizing Mamata Banerjee’s policies. A BJP leader has claimed that there will soon be a big split in the Trinamool Congress and around 20 MPs will leave the party in this background.
BJP MP Soumitra Khan has said that around 50 Trinamool Congress MLAs are currently upset with the party. A similar situation is seen among the 20 MPs of the party. The BJP MP asserts that these leaders are ready to switch parties and join the BJP if the party’s central leadership agrees. No official announcement has been made by BJP party leaders in this regard yet. If this situation materializes, the Trinamool Congress will cease to exist, claimed the BJP MP.
Siddaramaiah Resigns: ‘I did as the High Command told me’; An emotional Siddaramaiah thanked Sonia-Rahul Gandhi after the resignation
More than 100 councilors resigned
Interestingly, this statement by Soumitra Khan comes at a time when more than 100 corporators have already resigned from the Trinamool Congress. Meanwhile, there is talk of party leaders like Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar and Firhad Hakim being unhappy with the leadership. Although MLA Hakim has not expressed his displeasure publicly, Dastidar has already expressed his displeasure. His son, however, had hinted that Dastidar might also resign from his seat as an MP.
Matoshree call to Devendra Fadnavis: Direct call from ‘Matoshree’ to Devendra Fadnavis and shock to Eknath Shinde
There is no such thing as fake BJP leaders
Senior Trinamool MP Sougat Roy called it completely baseless. Roy said, whatever the BJP and Soumitra Khan are telling the journalists is a blatant lie. Nothing like that will happen. Several prominent Trinamool leaders joined the BJP ahead of the 2021 assembly elections, but returned after Mamata Banerjee’s party returned to power. But this time the situation is different. With the BJP now in power in Bengal, the 15-year rule of the Trinamool has come to an end. These speculations are coming at a time when signs of ‘all is not well’ in the Trinamool are becoming clear. Over the past few weeks, several MLAs, MPs and leaders have openly expressed their displeasure.
