New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the National Unity Day program in Gujarat. During this, he said, I congratulate all the countrymen on 'National Unity Day'. This time National Unity Day has brought a wonderful coincidence. On one hand today we are celebrating the festival of unity, while on the other hand we have the holy festival of Diwali.

He further said, Diwali connects the entire country through lamps, illuminates the entire country. Now the festival of Diwali is connecting India with the world. In many countries it is being celebrated as a national festival. I wish all the Indians living in the country and the world a very happy Diwali. The 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel is starting from today. The country will be celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Patel for the next two years. This is the nation's tribute to his extraordinary contribution towards India.
The PM said, when India got independence, there were some people in the world who were assessing the disintegration of India. He had no hope that one India would be created by uniting hundreds of princely states, but Sardar Saheb did it. This was possible because Sardar Saheb was realistic in behavior, truthful in resolve, humanitarian in action and nationalist in goal. The period of the last 10 years has been full of unprecedented achievements for the unity and integrity of India. Today, the commitment to national unity is visible in every work and every mission of the government.
Also said, only development and unity of faith give impetus to the creation of a better India. Unity is our life force in every plan, policy and intention. Seeing this, wherever Sardar Saheb's soul is, he must be blessing us. Article 370 has been buried forever. For the first time, voting was done without discrimination in this assembly election. For the first time the Chief Minister there has taken oath on the Constitution of India. This scene must have given immense satisfaction to the makers of the Constitution of India, their souls must have found peace and this is our humble tribute to the makers of the Constitution.
