National Youth Day: CM Yogi Adityanath presented Vivekananda Youth Award, said- Swami Vivekananda’s dream of becoming the world leader of India is coming true.

On the occasion of National Youth Day, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath participated in the program organized in Lucknow. Presenting the inspirational thoughts of Swami Vivekananda in a modern context, he said that today’s youth is his successor who will take the country forward towards making a self-reliant and developed India.

On this occasion, he also honored various youth with the state level Vivekananda Youth Award. Under this seven Khelo India scheme, 5 multipurpose halls were inaugurated and foundation stone of 3 rural stadiums was also laid. The Chief Minister said that Swami Vivekananda had an unwavering belief that India would one day again become a world leader on the strength of its self-respect, youth power and spiritual consciousness. He said, “Today under the leadership of PM Modi, we are seeing that dream coming true. Now the world cannot function without India. This is our new strength and capability.”

CM Yogi gave Vivekananda Youth Award

In a program organized in the capital Lucknow on National Youth Day, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called upon the youth to take inspiration from the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda. On this occasion he also distributed Vivekananda Youth Award. 10 youth were honored in the individual category, while in the Mangal Dal category, selected youth and women groups were awarded for their outstanding social and creative contribution. Along with this, projects worth about Rs 47 crore were inaugurated and foundation stone laid to strengthen the sports infrastructure, which include multipurpose halls and rural stadiums under the Khelo India scheme.

Chief Minister said ‘the dream of becoming a world leader is taking shape’

Speaking on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, CM Yogi said that during the period when a handful of foreign invaders succeeded in enslaving India, Swami Vivekananda made the nation believe that India’s strength lies in its culture, spiritual consciousness and youthful energy. Reiterating the basic mantra of Swami Vivekananda, he said that without concentration on the goal, determination in resolution and consistency in action, success is possible neither in personal life nor in national life. He said that Swami Vivekananda believed that India would again be established as a world leader on the strength of its self-pride, youth power and spiritual consciousness and today’s India realizes that vision.

Gave information about government schemes

During the program, the Chief Minister also mentioned the policies of the Central and State Government for the all-round development of the youth. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision “Kheloge to Khiloge”, he said that sports, skill development and employment are being given priority in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister said that so far the state government has provided government jobs to about 9 lakh youth, which has ensured transparency in the recruitment process and eliminated the scope for any kind of discrimination or irregularity against the youth. On this occasion, he also gave information about the schemes run by Yogi Adityanath to promote self-employment and said that many schemes have been started with the aim of making the youth self-reliant so that the youth can establish their own enterprises and new employment opportunities can be created.
