Naxalite Ramdhar Majji surrenders before security forces, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh declared Naxal free

Chhattisgarh: Big success has been achieved against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh. On Monday, notorious Maoist commander Ramdhar Majji along with his entire group surrendered before the police. Let us tell you, there was a reward of Rs 1 crore on Ramdhar and he was considered the most dangerous Naxalite after Hidma. With this surrender, large areas of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were declared Naxal-free.

Who surrendered?

Ramdhar Majji surrendered at Bakar Katta police station in Bastar. 11 other Maoist cadres also joined him. These include names like Chandu Usendi, Lalita, Janaki, Prem, Ramsingh Dada, Sukesh Pottam, Lakshmi, Sheela, Sagar, Kavita and Yogita. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from them.

The area of three states is now safe

After this surrender, the entire border area of Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh was declared Naxal-free. Now there is little danger left only in some forested areas of Abujhmad and southern parts of Sukma-Bijapur.

Chhattisgarh Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma claimed, “Naxalism has been eradicated by 80 percent in the state. The people of Bastar are now living without fear. The enthusiasm of the youth in events like Bastar Olympics and Pandum shows that now they themselves want to shape the future of their area.” He assured that Chhattisgarh will be completely Naxal-free by March 2026.

Amit Shah’s big announcement

Union Home Minister Amit Shah said, “Modi government has decided to completely free the country from Naxalism before March 31, 2026. Earlier this problem used to affect 17 percent of the land area and 12 crore people. Today, the day is not far when Naxalism will remain only in the pages of history.”

Ramdhar Majji’s surrender is a severe blow to the morale of Naxalites. Peace is returning to Bastar due to the strict policy of the government and the support of the local people. Now it is hoped that the remaining 20 percent areas will also breathe the air of freedom soon.
