NBA legend Chris Bosh details terrifying health scare

NBA Hall of Famer Chris Bosh recently revealed a frightening medical emergency that he says has permanently changed his perspective on life.

The 41-year-old former Miami Heat star, who was forced into early retirement in 2019 due to blood clot issues, shared that he suddenly collapsed while preparing for a date night with his wife.

The incident was as sudden as it was severe. Bosh described the moment everything went wrong, noting:

“A numbing sensation shot down my left leg, that sharp. Electric feeling you get when you bump your funny bone. Before I knew it, I was on the floor.”

‘I am lucky to be alive,’ said Bosh

He explained that he lost consciousness completely and has no memory of the actual fall.

Reflecting on the terrifying aftermath, Bosh said, “I woke up covered in my own blood. It was crazy, it was fast, it was instant. There was no warning.”

While Bosh did not disclose a specific diagnosis, he appeared in a video with visible bruising, telling fans, “I’m lucky to be alive and I feel great about that.”

The two-time champion is using his recovery to urge others to stop procrastinating on their goals. He warned that “everything can collapse at a moment’s notice,” emphasising his new mantra for life: “Don’t wait, just do it.”
