NCT 127 confirms new album and 10th anniversary tour

Seoul: K-pop group NCT 127 has officially confirmed its long-awaited comeback with a new full-length album, marking its first studio release in nearly two years. The group’s seventh studio album is scheduled for release on August 24, coinciding with the band’s 10th anniversary celebrations. Alongside the album, NCT 127 will also launch its fifth world tour, NEO CITY – THE REDLINE, with performances across Asia and additional cities expected to be announced later.

The announcement was confirmed by SM Entertainment after reports of the group’s comeback surfaced, ending weeks of speculation among fans. The upcoming release is expected to celebrate the group’s decade-long journey while signalling the next chapter in its musical career.

SM Entertainment confirms August comeback

SM Entertainment confirmed the comeback in a statement shared with South Korean media.

“NCT 127 is making a comeback with their seventh studio album on August 24. Please show lots of interest and support,” the agency said.

The album will be the group’s first since the release of Walk in July 2024. According to reports, the new project will highlight NCT 127’s signature performance style and distinctive musical identity that have defined the group since its debut.

The agency is also expected to unveil teasers, concept photos and promotional content in the coming weeks ahead of the album launch.

Five-member lineup for the comeback

The upcoming comeback will feature five members Taeyong, Johnny, Yuta, Jaehyun and Haechan.

Taeyong and Jaehyun have returned to group activities after completing their mandatory military service, allowing them to participate in the anniversary promotions.

However, Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently serving in the military and will not take part in the album or the initial leg of the world tour.

Despite the reduced lineup, fans have welcomed the announcement and expressed excitement about seeing the members reunite for a major milestone in the group’s career.

NEO CITY – THE REDLINE world tour announced

Following the album release, NCT 127 will embark on its fifth world tour titled NEO CITY – THE REDLINE.

SM Entertainment has announced the first batch of tour dates:

  • Jakarta – October 3
  • Hong Kong – October 10 and 11
  • Singapore – October 18
  • Bangkok – October 31 and November 1
  • Taipei – January 2, 2027

The agency said additional cities and concert dates will be revealed through official channels at a later stage, raising expectations for more international stops.

The tour will serve as the group’s first major global concert series following its anniversary celebrations.

Celebrating a decade of NCT 127

NCT 127 officially debuted on July 7, 2016, with the single Fire Truck. Over the past decade, the group has become one of SM Entertainment’s flagship acts and a major force in the global K-pop industry.
