NCT’s Jaehyun, Lee Chae Min starrer K-drama I Trust You put on hold due to investment fallback

NCT’s Jaehyun and Lee Chae Min were scheduled to feature in the upcoming K-drama I Trust You. However, the show’s production has been put on indefinite hold. According to the team’s announcement, the concert has been postponed because of investment difficulties.

The K-drama I Trust You’s production team released a statement on October 16, 2024, about the project’s future. According to YTN News, they are  “actively seeking new investors to address the issues and will take responsibility for disbursing the actors’ guarantees and the staff’s outstanding wages.”

The shooting started in April 2024, however on October 16, 2024, it was announced that production had been forced to stop. According to YTN News, the drama is having trouble making investments. Filming started before negotiating deals with the funders, even though the pre-production phases were finished.

In the end, the investors shifted their stance, which prevented the production firm from having enough money to pay for the costs of filming and caused the production to stop. It has been almost five months after production ended, and the cast and crew have probably not been paid yet, despite the company’s attempts to start shooting again.

However, because Jaehyun will shortly be joining the military, the team will have challenges with casting even though the investment issue has been resolved. His presence is essential because he portrays the show’s lead.
