New Delhi: Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) is going to protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday, June 20, regarding the NEET paper leak issue and the demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. Before the demonstration, CJP founder Abhijit Deepke has made a special appeal to his supporters. In a video released on social media, he requested people to bring a plate and spoon with them while attending the protest. In the video, Deepke said that those who are coming to join the peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar at 1 pm, should bring plates and spoons with them. He said that people can understand the purpose behind this.

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijit Deepke has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and made several demands regarding the NEET exam controversy. He wrote this letter a day before the students’ protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday. In the letter, Deepke has demanded a compensation of Rs 1 crore each to the families of the students who committed suicide amid the NEET controversy. He said that the government should adopt a sensitive attitude towards the affected students and their families in this matter. Along with this, the CJP founder also reiterated his demand to remove Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from the post. He demanded fixing of accountability regarding NEET exam controversy and action against the culprits.
Deepke said in the letter, “I am writing this letter to you with a heavy heart to draw your attention to a serious crisis which is becoming a threat to the future of our country and the lives and mental health of the youth.” In the letter, Deepke claimed that 11 students have committed suicide in recent times, out of which information about five cases has come to light in the last 48 hours. He said that the uncertainty regarding possible re-examination is increasing the anxiety and stress of the students. He appealed to the Prime Minister to take immediate action regarding the NEET controversy and take concrete decisions keeping in mind the interests of the students. Earlier, Deepke had also reiterated the demand for removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from the post and fixing accountability in the NEET case.

Abhijeet Deepke has demanded from the Central Government to provide immediate financial assistance to the affected families. In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Deepke demanded a compensation package of Rs 1 crore for the families affected by the crisis related to the question paper leak. Deepke said in the letter that many families had taken huge educational loans for the education of their children. He said that after the demise of the children on whose education the families had spent their entire life savings, these families have reached a very difficult situation financially and emotionally.
Referring to the problems of students and families affected by the NEET controversy, he appealed to the government to take immediate action. Deepke claimed that the crisis created by the question paper leak incidents has affected many families. Along with this, the CJP founder also reiterated the demand for the removal of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan from the post. He said students want accountability in this matter. According to Deepke, CJP has been protesting for the last one month demanding the resignation of the Education Minister. He said that the main demand of the students is that responsibility should be fixed for the NEET controversy and the losses related to it. CJP has also announced a protest at Jantar Mantar on Saturday.

This demonstration to be held on June 20 will be the party’s second major protest. Earlier, CJP had held its first demonstration on June 6 at Jantar Mantar regarding the NEET issue. The party says that it is continuously raising its voice regarding alleged irregularities in the examination and issues related to the interests of students. During the last 14 days, CJP workers have also protested in many cities of the country. These include many other cities including Pune, Lucknow, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Jaipur. Party founder Abhijeet Deepke has reiterated the demand for the resignation of the Education Minister regarding the NEET controversy and fixing accountability in the entire matter. He has also appealed to the supporters to reach with plates and spoons for the protest to be held on Saturday.
