She said, 'I was in Mumbai for the recording of my Bhojpuri film. I had an HMV cassette which had a tribute to Maithili Kokil Vidyapati, a famous poet of the Maithili language. Tarachand Barjatya, grandfather of film director Sooraj Barjatya, liked this cassette very much. He sent me a letter and said that he liked this cassette very much.
Then one day Sharda Sinha got a call from Rajshree Production and she was called and offered to sing. Sharda happily accepted the offer and lent her voice to the song 'Kahe To Se Sajna' from the film 'Maine Pyar Kiya', which was picturized on Bhagyashree and Salman Khan. This song is still known by the name of Sharda Sinha.
