Nepal captain Rohit Poudel reacts after winning the toss. He said, “We will bowl first. We won the toss in the end. I think the wicket for the first four or five overs, it was a bit difficult, but whoever bats well in the first four or five overs can take advantage later in the innings. The first five overs are a tough task, so as a bowling unit, we need to make the most of those five overs. If you look at this tournament as a whole, we batted really well in the first match. After that, I think both “We haven’t batted as we expected in the matches. So we would like to bat well and have some good partnerships in the middle. One change we have made is that we have replaced Karan KC.”

Scotland captain Richie Berrington, who lost the toss, said, “We were probably going to look to bowl first. But it looks a good pitch. Obviously it’s our first match on this pitch tonight. So it’s important to adapt well and we have to do really well when we bowl first. I think we’ve done really well so far in this tournament. There are definitely areas we need to improve on. And tonight is another good opportunity to do that.”
