Our finger is still on the trigger; Netanyahu’s big threat to Iran amid ceasefire, said- ceasefire is not the end

Netanyahu Threatens Iran: The war that has been going on for almost a month between America and Iran took a significant turn on 8 April 2026, when both the countries agreed to a ceasefire for 15 days. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave a big statement regarding the ceasefire. He said that despite the ceasefire between the US and Iran, Israel is fully prepared to return to war at any time.

On Wednesday, Netanyahu made it clear that Israel has achieved many important objectives in the six-week long conflict and is now in a stronger position than before, although some objectives are still incomplete. Along with this, Israel is continuously attacking Lebanon.

Some of our goals are still pending: Netanyahu

“We still have some goals and we will achieve them whether through agreement or through renewed fighting,” Netanyahu said in his first press briefing since Donald Trump announced the ceasefire. He claimed that Israel and America together have greatly weakened Iran’s strength and at present Iran is in a weaker position than before.

Netanyahu also reiterated that Israel is on full alert and can immediately resume military operations if necessary. In his words, “Our finger is still on the trigger. This campaign is not over, but a step towards achieving all its goals.”

Israeli PM angry at opposition

He also responded to the criticism from the opposition. Opposition leaders had raised questions on the government regarding the ceasefire, but Netanyahu rejected these allegations and said that this agreement was completely in coordination with Israel and there is no surprise in it.

Israel’s main opposition leader Yair Lapid described the ceasefire as a “diplomatic failure” for the country and said the government could not achieve its stated goals. In response, Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel has pushed back Iran’s “terrorist regime” by several years and weakened its basic strength.

Iran will no longer be able to make missiles

The Israeli Prime Minister also claimed that Israel has caused serious damage to Iran’s missile capability, rendering it no longer capable of producing new missiles. He also said that Iran’s nuclear program has also suffered a huge setback and many prominent nuclear scientists have been killed. Apart from this, he also claimed that the enriched uranium possessed by Iran will be taken out of the country and there is complete agreement between the US and Israel on this issue.
