Netflix drama ‘Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen’ drops twisted official teaser
Netflix has released the first teaser for its upcoming horror series Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen by Matt and Ross Duffer.
The Duffer Brothers serve as executive producers under their Upside Down Productions banner for the eight-episode long series.
The newly released teaser runs nearly a minute and features a tense montage of characters repeatedly apologising to one another with the exchanges escalating in urgency.
The clip offers little plot detail but establishes an uneasy tone ahead of the show’s debut.
The series centres on Rachel played by Camila Morrone who is set to marry her fiancé Nicky portrayed by Adam DiMarco in the next five days.
The couple travel to his family’s secluded vacation home in a snowy forest for what is meant to be an intimate wedding ceremony.
According to the official synopsis Rachel begins to experience increased paranoia and superstition as the wedding approaches.
A chain of twisted events and heightens her fears that something terrible is about to happen.
The show positions itself as a psychological horror story about commitment and doubt.
The extended description frames it as a horror take on a woman becoming a wife and questioning what truly makes two people soulmates and what might be more frightening than marrying the wrong person.
The cast also includes Jeff Wilbusch, Karla Crome, Gus Birney, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Ted Levine and Sawyer Fraser.
Weronika Tofilska directs and executive produces the series.
Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann also direct episodes. Hilary Leavitt and Andrea Sperling serve as executive producers.
Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen will stream exclusively on Netflix beginning March 26.
