Obnews Tech Desk: Netflix has once again increased the prices of its plans. This change has been implemented in America, Canada, Portugal and Argentina. However, it will not have any effect in India.
Q4 Revealed the price increase in 2024 report
Netflix announced these new prices in its latest Q4 2024 Earnings report. The company said that this step has been taken to increase the revenue.
New prices in america
- Basic Plan with Ads:
The old price was US $ 6.99 (about 603 rupees), which has now increased to US $ 7.99 (about 689 rupees) per month.
- AD-Free 1080p HD Plan:
The price of this plan has been increased from US $ 15.49 (about Rs 1,337) to US $ 17.99 (about Rs 1,553).
No changes happened in India
Netflix has retained the prices of its plans in India.
- Mobile Plan: Rs 149 per month, with a 720p picture quality.
- Basic Plan: Rs 199 per month, with 720p picture quality.
Netflix prices in India
- Standard Plan: 499 rupees per month. It provides 1080p picture quality and two screen support.
- Premium Plan: 649 rupees per month, 4K HDR with quality and four screen support.

Start of ads plan
Netflix launched plans with ads abroad about a year ago. Ads were included in the basic option in these plans, while without ads plans have to pay a higher price.
