Netflix reveals ‘Pride & Prejudice’ teaser

Netflix has released the first teaser for its upcoming adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride & Prejudice, reimagined as a six-part series by writer and producer Dolly Alderton. The 54-second clip gives fans an initial glimpse of Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, offering a visually faithful homage to the story, with subtle nods to the 2005 film version starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen.

The series, directed by Euros Lyn, is set to premiere in fall 2026. Alongside Corrin and Lowden, the cast features an impressive lineup: Olivia Colman will portray Mrs. Bennet, while Rufus Sewell takes on Mr. Bennet. Freya Mavor appears as Jane Bennet, Jamie Demetriou as Mr. Collins, and Daryl McCormack as Mr. Bingley.

Additional casting includes Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet, Hopey Parish and Hollie Avery as Mary and Kitty Bennet, Siena Kelly as Caroline Bingley, and Fiona Shaw in the role of Lady Catherine de Bourgh.

The series promises a fresh yet faithful retelling of Austen’s timeless tale of love, social expectations, and family dynamics, with Alderton’s modern storytelling sensibility woven into the adaptation.

Corrin also steps into a new role behind the camera as an executive producer, marking their debut in production. Other executive producers include Alderton, Euros Lyn, Laura Lankester, Will Johnston, and Louise Mutter for Lookout Point.

The teaser, though brief and largely dialogue-free, teases the series’ attention to period detail and character-driven storytelling, building anticipation for what is expected to be one of the most closely watched literary adaptations of 2026.
