Delhi: The journey of the Netherlands team in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 has ended. He also admitted that the team had a chance to remain in the race for the semi-finals, but the performance in the crucial moments was not as expected.

Edwards described the experience of playing in India as important for the team. He said that the conditions here, small grounds, flat pitches and enthusiastic spectators make the atmosphere completely different. Playing in these conditions makes players mentally and technically strong. According to the captain, the team faced these challenges to a great extent, but lacked consistency in big matches.
Positive signs for the future
Although the tournament ended disappointingly, Edwards expressed satisfaction with the team’s efforts. He says that the players played high level cricket in many matches and this experience will make the team better in future. He expressed confidence that the Netherlands will return as a more mature and stronger team in the upcoming tournaments.
