RBI: New notes of 100 and 200 rupees will come soon in the market, Reserve Bank of India made a big announcement

Mumbai: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has made a big announcement about 100 and 200 rupee notes. Actually, the Reserve Bank of India will soon issue new notes of 100 and 200, but no change will be made in their design. The Reserve Bank has informed that these new notes will be signed by Governor Sanjay Malhotra. This is a common process in which every new governor is followed by the appointment of their signature notes.

Now after reading this news, people will have a question whether the old notes will be out of trend? So the answer is not at all! RBI has made it clear that old 100 and 200 notes will remain valid and they will not be replaced. RBI has said that these notes will soon be available in banks and ATMs. Let us now know where people use the most cash. The prevalence of cash increased first

According to the report, despite the closure of Rs 2,000 notes, the circulation of cash in the country has increased even more than before. If you look at the RBI figures, you will know that in March 2017, the cash circulation Jahan was 13.35 lakh crore, while it increased to 35.15 lakh crores by March 2024. Apart from this, digital transactions are also increasing rapidly through UPI. The UPI transaction was 2.06 lakh crore in March 2020, while by February 2024 it increased to 18.07 lakh crore. Whereas, talking about 2024, this year digital transactions have been around 172 billion.

The most cash extracted from ATM in these states

According to reports, the most ATM was withdrawn during FY'24 in Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Karnataka. Indeed, the demand for cash increases during festivals and elections.
