New automated center ready in Nandnagari, now fitness check of commercial vehicles will be done in 10 minutes – News

A very relieving news has emerged for those driving commercial vehicles in the capital Delhi. Now they will not have to stand in long queues for fitness check of their vehicles nor will they have to travel to other cities of NCR. A new and state-of-the-art automated fitness center is almost ready in the Nandnagari DP Depot premises of Delhi. As soon as this center starts, drivers and vehicle owners will get great convenience.

The biggest feature of this new center is its speed and capacity. Every year about 72 thousand commercial vehicles can be tested for fitness here. At present the civil work has been completed here and the work of installing modern machines is in the final stage. Earlier, at the old center located in Jhilmil, manual checking of a vehicle used to take 20 to 25 minutes and the entire day was spent due to long queues, with this new automated technology this time will be reduced to just 8 to 10 minutes. This will save valuable time of drivers.

Hi-tech digital testing will be done on 20 parameters including suspension, brakes and engine without human intervention.

This entire system will be based on automated technology, which means that there will not be any kind of human intervention in the investigation process. This will maintain transparency and the report will be completely impartial. At the centre, the health of the vehicle will be tested on about 20 different parameters including suspension, brakes, tyres, steering, sound coming from the engine, headlight focus and smoke coming out of the exhaust. All the data will be recorded digitally, due to which the test results will be completely accurate.

Road safety will be strengthened and dependence on neighboring cities like Ghaziabad-Noida will be completely eliminated.

This initiative will not only reduce the burden on the pockets of vehicle owners, but will also improve road safety than ever before. Automated testing will enable quick and accurate identification of technically weak, overloaded and highly polluting vehicles. Till now, vehicle owners of Delhi had to go to Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurugram or Noida for fitness certificate, but with the launch of this facility in Nandnagar, this compulsion will end and world class facility will be available within the capital itself.
