New beginning of health services in Dhar, Health Minister JP Nadda performed Bhoomi Pujan of Medical College.

Today became a very special and memorable day for the people of Dhar district. People were waiting for good treatment facilities for many years. Now that dream is going to come true. Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda performed the bhoomi pujan of the medical college to be built in Dhar. This program was presided over by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav.

The event took place at PG College Ground, where a large number of leaders, officials and common people were present. It was clearly said from the stage that now the people of Dhar will not have to go to distant cities for treatment. This medical college will prove beneficial for treatment, education and employment.

Dhar will get big benefit of medical college

The medical college to be built in Dhar will be built on PPP model i.e. government and private institutions will jointly build it. Its advantage will be that there will be government monitoring and modern treatment facilities will also be available. Currently, in case of serious illness, people have to go to Indore or Bhopal. This consumes more time and money. After the construction of the medical college, patients from Dhar and surrounding districts will be able to get good treatment in their own district.

Statement of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that this medical college will prove to be a game changer for Dhar district. He said that the government wants that every district should have strong hospital and doctor facilities. He also said that not only the patients but also the youth of Dhar will benefit from this medical college. There will be new opportunities for studies here and employment opportunities will also increase.

JP Nadda said: It is important to be healthy before treatment

Union Health Minister JP Nadda said that earlier the thinking in the country was to first fall ill and then get treatment. But now the thinking has changed under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now the government wants that people should not fall ill. Therefore, first attention is being given to disease prevention, good habits and healthy life. This is called preventive health care.

Treatment from Ayushman Arogya Mandir to village

JP Nadda said that till now more than 1 lakh 81 thousand Ayushman Arogya Mandirs have been built in the country. Here, pregnant women and children are given complete care. Screening during pregnancy, vaccination after birth and necessary treatment have now reached the villages. This keeps both mother and child safe.

Monitoring of children through U-WIN portal

The government has launched the U-WIN portal. About 5 crore mothers and children are involved in this. From this portal it is seen whether the child gets vaccinated on time or not. If a child’s vaccination is delayed even by a month, Asha and Anganwadi workers get immediate information. Due to this no child is left out of vaccination.

Many lives saved by hospital delivery

JP Nadda said that today about 89 percent of deliveries in the country are taking place in hospitals. Asha workers take pregnant women to the hospital. This saves the lives of the mother and the newborn child. There has been a significant reduction in maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate in the last few years.

Timely check of blood pressure and diabetes

The Health Minister said that the government has so far got blood pressure checked for 4 crore people. Of these, 68 lakh people were diagnosed with the disease and their treatment was started. Similarly, 46 lakh people were found to be diabetic patients. Now the disease is being caught at the age of 30, due to which the treatment is done quickly.

Big initiative in cancer screening too

JP Nadda said that 34 crore people have been screened for oral cancer. Treatment of those who were found to have cancer was started. Crores of tests have also been done for cervical and breast cancer in women. Lives of thousands of women are being saved by timely testing.
