New Car Launches in December 2025: Maruti e-Vitara, Tata Harrier Petrol, Kia Seltos 2026 And More

Car Launch: From Maruti Suzuki to Tata and Kia, several major brands are gearing up to introduce new models, updated SUVs, and major facelifts. The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara kicked off the month with a strong debut, followed by several exciting model launches. Here’s a complete breakdown of these powerful and latest vehicles.

Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara

The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara was introduced in India on December 2nd, generating excitement even before its official launch (January 2026). This premium electric SUV will come in three variants—Delta, Zeta, and Alpha—with 49 kWh and 61 kWh battery options, delivering an ARAI-certified range of up to 543 km.

The e-Vitara’s hallmark is its premium design, which includes LED lighting, aero alloys, a dual-tone cabin, dual screens, ventilated seats, and a fixed glass roof. On the safety front, it has received a 5-star India NCAP rating, with 7 airbags, a 360-degree camera, and Level-2 ADAS. Its expected price will be between ₹20 lakh and ₹25 lakh, and it will compete directly with vehicles like the Hyundai Creta Electric and Tata Curvv EV.

Tata Harrier and Safari Petrol

Tata Motors is launching its most popular SUVs, the Harrier and Safari, with petrol engines on December 9, 2025.

Tata Harrier Petrol

The Harrier Petrol will feature a new 1.5-liter Hyperion turbo-petrol engine, producing 170 hp and 280 Nm of torque. It will come with manual and automatic gearbox options. The expected starting price is ₹13-14 lakh. It will compete fiercely with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.

Tata Safari Petrol

The Tata Safari Petrol will also be powered by the same 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine. With an expected starting price of ₹15-16 lakh, it will be a more affordable option than the diesel Safari. The Safari will retain features like its 6- and 7-seater layout, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Level-2 ADAS.

New-Gen Kia Seltos

The new-generation Kia Seltos will be globally unveiled on December 10, 2025. The 2026 Kia Seltos will feature a bold new design, digital Tiger Face grille, flush door handles, and a refreshed interior. It will get dual 12.3-inch screens and upgraded Level-2 ADAS. Engine options will remain the same—1.5 NA petrol, 1.5 turbo-petrol, and 1.5 diesel, paired with manual, iMT, CVT, or automatic gearboxes. Prices are expected to range from ₹11.30 lakh to ₹20 lakh.

MG Hector Facelift

The MG Hector is expected to receive a facelift in December 2025. Styling updates will include a revised bumper, a new grille design, an updated skid plate, and new alloy wheels. Inside, the 2026 MG Hector will feature a more responsive 14-inch infotainment system and new connected features. Ventilated rear seats may also be added. Engine options will remain the same: a 1.5-liter turbo-petrol (with CVT) and a 2.0-liter diesel (manual only).

Mini Convertible

MINI India has opened bookings for the new MINI Convertible, scheduled to launch in December 2025. It features an electric soft-top roof that opens in 18 seconds and can operate at speeds up to 30 km/h. It comes with attractive features like circular LED headlights, a black octagonal grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, and Union Jack LED tail lamps. Inside, it gets a 9.4-inch OLED touchscreen, custom themes, powered seats, Harman Kardon audio, and wireless charging. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that produces 204 hp and 300 Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
