This rule has come into full effect from 30 April 2026. Now banks will not be able to use these apps to collect customer data, transact money or send passwords. The government says that this step has been taken to prevent fraud and increase data security. Now customers will have to use only mobile app, online portal or bank branch.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department (NCM) has issued a warning regarding heat. The temperature in the interior areas of the country may go up to 42°C to 46°C and in the coastal areas it will remain between 39°C to 44°C. There will be dust in the winds and waves may rise high in the sea, which may cause problems to fishermen and those working at sea.
New rules and benefits for employees
Many good changes have been made for expatriates and locals working in UAE. Under the Labor Law 2026, the rules of gratuity have been further clarified so that employees can get their full money. Now flexible working methods like part-time and remote work have also been given legal protection.
