New enthusiasm in Pakistan women’s cricket! Uncapped Saira Jabeen and Humna Bilal got entry in T-20 team, Fatima became the captain.

Lahore: Uncapped batsman Saira Jabeen and right-arm fast bowler Humna Bilal have been included in Pakistan’s women’s T20 team for the first time for the white ball series on South Africa tour.

Pakistan has retained Fatima Sana as the captain of the white ball team announced for the South African tour. The team is preparing for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup to be held in June.

The selectors have included Alia Riaz, Ayesha Zafar, Gul Firozha, Muniba Ali, Nashra Sandhu, Natalia Parvez, Ramin Shamim, Sadia Iqbal, Sidra Amin and Tasmiya Rubab in both the ODI and T20 squads. Whereas Diana Baig, Naziha Alvi, Sadaf Shamas and Syeda Arub Shah are only part of the ODI team, while Humna Bilal, Saira Jabeen, Tooba Hasan and Ayman Fatima are only in the T20 team.

Ayesha, Gul, Tasmiya and wicketkeeper-batsman Naziha Alvi are making a comeback in ODIs after missing out on the squad for the ODI World Cup. The practice session before the series will be held from February 1 to 6 at the Hanif Mohammad High Performance Centre, Karachi.

The T20 series will be played in Potchefstroom, Benoni and Kimberly from 10 to 16 February, in which all the matches will be played as day-night fixtures. After this, Pakistan will play a 50-over practice match in Kimberley before the three-match ODI series, which will be held in Bloemfontein, Centurion and Durban from February 22 to March 1.
