New four lane bridge to be built in Bihar, good news for these districts, relief from jam!
Patna. An important step is being taken towards strengthening the road and bridge infrastructure in Bihar. Preparations have now started to develop the Rewa Ghat bridge built on Gandak river between Muzaffarpur to Chhapra into four lane. This project is expected to provide great relief to thousands of people traveling daily.
Will get relief from the problem of traffic jam
Till now this bridge has two lanes, due to which long traffic jams often occur here. The situation becomes worse especially in the morning and evening. By converting the bridge into four lanes, the movement of vehicles will be smooth and travel time will also be reduced.
work fast on the plan
The responsibility of taking this project forward has been given to the National Highway Authority of India. In the initial phase, Detailed Project Report (DPR) is being prepared. Along with this, the process of land acquisition will also be started in the concerned areas, so that the construction work can be completed on time.
Preparation at administrative level
Cooperation is also being taken from the local administration for the project. Revenue maps have been sought from Saraiya, Madwan and Kudhani areas, so that an accurate plan can be prepared. A consultant agency has also been assigned the responsibility of this project, which will prepare the technical report and the construction outline.
Improve road connectivity
There is a plan to fourlane not only the bridge, but also the main road connecting Muzaffarpur to Chhapra. Records of already acquired land are being examined and additional land will also be taken if needed. The new bridge will be built near the old bridge, so that the traffic pressure can be distributed.
The development of the area will get a boost
After the completion of this project, connectivity between Muzaffarpur and Chhapra will improve significantly. This will not only make travel easier but will also strengthen business and the local economy. The better road network is also expected to accelerate the pace of development in the surrounding areas.
