New good news for these employees in Bihar, increase in salary and facilities
News Desk. The beginning of the new year has brought good news for the employees associated with 102 ambulance service in Bihar. Drivers and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), who have been struggling for a long time over wages and working conditions, have now received concrete relief. An important agreement has been reached between Bihar State Medical Employees Union (INTUC) and Jain Plus Company after several rounds of negotiations, which will directly benefit ambulance personnel across the state.
Uniform salary system throughout Bihar
Under the agreement, the salary of all 102 ambulance drivers and EMTs working in Bihar has now been made the same. The most important decision is that the employees will be given full benefits of the minimum wage fixed by the government and the labor department. This will bring transparency in salaries and the inequality that has been going on for years will end.

According to Amit Kumar Pandey, state vice president of the union, earlier, where drivers and EMTs used to get a monthly salary of around Rs 10,000, now it has increased to around Rs 14,200. Not only this, whenever the minimum wage increases in future, 102 ambulance workers will also get its direct benefit.

It has also been made clear in the agreement that if an employee works four extra days in a month, he will get separate payment for the same. At the same time, those employees who do not want to do additional work will be given four days weekly leave. This will help in creating a balance between work pressure and personal life.
PF, ESI and treatment facilities
Now all employees will get the benefits of Provident Fund (PF) and Employees’ State Insurance Scheme (ESIC) on time. Apart from this, it has also been agreed that the organization will bear the entire cost of treatment of any employee who meets with an accident while on duty. This will provide social and economic security to the employees.
Under the agreement, a proposal to implement a welfare scheme from the organization has also been accepted, through which financial assistance will be provided to the employees if needed. Besides, all the already working employees will be adjusted and they will also be provided appointment letters and salary slips.
