New Hyundai Suv Is Coming To Challenge The Maruti Fronx With Prices Starting From 7 Lakh

Hyundai New SUV: Hyundai Motor India is preparing for big changes in the Indian market this year. The company is going to launch several new products and facelift models, including a new sub-4 meter compact crossover SUV. This upcoming SUV will directly challenge Maruti Suzuki Fronx. According to media reports, this vehicle will be based on Hyundai Bayon sold in the global market, which will be specially designed for India.

Smaller than 4 meters, tax relief

The length of the global specification Hyundai Bayon is more than 4,810 mm, but to get tax benefits in the Indian market, its length will be kept less than 4 meters. The codename of this micro-SUV is being said to be Bc4i. It is expected that this vehicle will be launched in India in the third quarter of 2026. After Hyundai Exeter, it can become the second most affordable SUV of the company.

Price starts from Rs 7 lakh, top model up to Rs 15 lakh

According to reports, the starting price of this new compact SUV can be around Rs 7 lakh, while the price of the top variant can go up to around Rs 15 lakh. Full-loaded features are expected to be available at this price, which can make it a strong option for middle class families.

Entry will be with hybrid engine

The biggest feature of this SUV will be its new 1.2 liter turbocharged direct injection petrol engine, which will be ready for hybrid technology. This engine can also be used in other hybrid cars of Hyundai in future.

According to reports, this engine will give more torque than the 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine of Venue and will be able to give better mileage than the 1.5 liter turbo petrol of Creta. It can be mated to a dual-clutch automatic or e-CVT gearbox.

There will be no shortage in features

Although the official feature list of the India-spec model will be revealed at the time of launch, the features provided in the global version are quite powerful. These include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, 8-speaker Bose sound system, wireless charging, USB Type-C fast charging, OTA updates and advanced safety features like ADAS.
