New initiative of Bihar government, the whole picture of the village will change

Patna: Bihar government has started BRTP-Jeevika 3 project to give a new direction to rural development. The scheme will run for six years and aims to ensure employment, income and skill growth in villages. Under this initiative, many programs will be run to strengthen agriculture, animal husbandry and small industries.

The plan has special focus on direct market access, branding of products and creation of digital platforms. With this, rural producers will be able to sell their products in the national and international markets. The scheme will bring employment, income and skill opportunities to rural families, as well as promote stability and development in villages.

Rural entrepreneurs will get a new platform

Under this project in Bihar, infrastructure facilities like cold storage, warehouse, processing units and hatcheries will be developed. Its objective is to financially strengthen small businessmen and self-help groups.

Skill development and new employment opportunities

BRTP-Jeevikaa 3 is not limited to agriculture only. The scheme will also encourage fisheries, dairy, poultry, beekeeping and non-agriculture businesses. By training youth and women, they will get an opportunity to become self-reliant.

Major changes expected at cluster level

1,000 cluster level organizations of the state will also be empowered. These organizations will not only provide economic and social services for their members, but also invest in community projects. This initiative will increase financial inclusion in villages by facilitating digital payments and mobile banking.
