New initiative of Yogi government, now there will be a chance to earn money sitting at home, lakhs of people will benefit

Lucknow. Yogi government has taken a big step to promote tourism in Uttar Pradesh and provide employment to the local people. In view of the rapidly increasing domestic and foreign tourists in the state, the government has made changes in the Bed and Breakfast and Home Stay Policy-2025. The objective of this new arrangement is to provide better and homely accommodation to the tourists. Also, for those who have houses or extra rooms, a new source of income has to be created.

Now more rooms will get approval under the new policy

Under the new policy, the limit for home stay operations has been increased. Earlier, where maximum 6 rooms were allowed, now it has been increased to 8 rooms. In urban areas, people will be able to start home stay in their own house or residential property taken as per the prescribed rules. In this, an essential condition has been laid that the landlord or his family should reside in the same premises, so that the tourists can get a home like experience.

Registration and renewal will be online

The government has simplified the process for the convenience of home stay operators. Now the work related to registration can be done through online medium. The biggest relief is that now there will be less need to visit government offices again and again. Operators will be able to renew their registration through the portal before the expiry of the time.

Earning opportunities will increase in villages and towns

The government believes that the home stay scheme will not only benefit big cities but also rural areas and small towns. When tourists stay in local areas, the people there will get the opportunity to earn income through food, accommodation facilities, local products and other services. This is expected to strengthen the local economy.

Tourists will get home like experience

The specialty of home stay is that tourists can get to know the culture and traditions of the area closely by staying with local families instead of hotels. Along with accommodation, facilities like breakfast and food can also be provided. It is likely to be more beneficial in areas having religious and historical tourist places.

Self-Employment for Youth and Families

Through the new policy, the government aims to enable people to generate a source of income by using the available space in their homes. With this, especially youth and small entrepreneurs can get employment options in their own area.
