Lucknow. A big step is being taken towards further strengthening road connectivity in Uttar Pradesh. A modern interchange (Trumpet Junction) will be developed in Kudrail village of Etawah district, where three major expressways of the state will connect. After the completion of this project, people of many districts will get better travel facilities and travel time will also be reduced.
Let us tell you that through this special interchange, Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway and Ganga Link Expressway will be connected to each other. With this, travel between different parts of the state will become easier than before.
12 districts will get direct benefit
Many surrounding districts are expected to get the biggest benefit from this interchange. People living in areas like Etawah, Auraiya, Mainpuri, Kannauj, Farrukhabad, Jalaun and Kanpur Dehat will get better connectivity. Apart from this, it will also become easier to reach districts like Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba and Hamirpur of Bundelkhand region. This is likely to boost trade, industry and transport activities.
Expressways will be able to change without stopping
The specialty of Trumpet Junction will be that the drivers will not have to stop to go from one expressway to another. Its design will be such that vehicles will be able to change their direction easily. This will save time and also reduce traffic pressure. This facility can prove to be very beneficial for people traveling long distances.
The project will be ready with Rs 500 crores
About 120 hectares of land has been acquired for this project. The construction of the interchange and part of the Ganga Link Expressway is estimated to cost around Rs 500 crore. After completion of the project, this area will be connected to the important road network of the state.
Modern facilities will be developed nearby
There are plans to develop facilities like logistics park, warehouse, hotel, petrol pump and trauma center in future around the interchange. These facilities will not only benefit the passengers but can also create new opportunities for investment and employment in the area.
Travel to Delhi, Meerut and Uttarakhand will be easy
According to officials, after the completion of this project, the roads leading to Delhi, Meerut and Uttarakhand will also improve. This connectivity can play an important role in the economic development of Etawah and surrounding areas.
