New medal design reflects aspirations at VPBank Read Marathon HCMC Midnight 2025
For this year’s event, the medal takes on a geometric shape, in contrast to the crescent moon design from the previous edition. It depicts well-known city landmarks, symbolizing continuous growth and the shared determination of both the city and its people.
Measuring 90 x 86 mm and crafted from high-quality steel alloy, the medal predominantly has a silver finish with green accents. Organizers explain that this color choice represents the renewal and progress of the city.
“The green color represents the budding of new leaves in spring and the constant growth of both the people and the southern metropolis, which serves as the inspiration for all the awards of the Ho Chi Minh City midnight run,” said a representative for the organizers.

On the front, the medal highlights prominent landmarks such as Ben Thanh Market, the Bitexco Tower, Landmark 81, and the Saigon River Ferry Terminal, depicted to scale in detailed relief. These landmarks are combined to convey a sense of both modern innovation and historical significance. At the center stands the image of a runner in motion, symbolizing the pursuit of new heights and continued prosperity.
On the reverse side, the words “FINISHER” and the number “2025” are engraved. Participants who complete the race will receive a medal with a ribbon color corresponding to their chosen distance.
To obtain a medal, athletes can register online. The final Late Registration phase is currently open.
