New revelation in Ankita Bhandari murder case, was the murder done on the instructions of ‘Gattu’? Congress demands investigation

The case of Ankita Bhandari murder case has once again come into discussion. This is an old case, in which Ankita Bhandari, a 19-year-old girl working in a resort in Uttarakhand, was murdered. Now there is a new twist in this matter, because a video or audio is becoming increasingly viral on social media. In this video, the alleged wife (or related woman) of former BJP MLA Suresh Rathore has made some serious allegations.

The woman has claimed in her statement that wrong and immoral activities take place in the guest house (Uttarakhand Sadan) located in Delhi, Uttarakhand. Also, she has named a person in the murder case of Ankita Bhandari, whom she is calling ‘Gattu’. According to the woman, Ankita was murdered on the instructions of this ‘Gattu’. She said that this is a very big VVIP person, whom she knows very well. Due to this video going viral, there has been a new stir in the whole matter.

Demand for investigation from SIT

Citing this video, the Congress party has launched a strong attack. Senior Congress leader and State Vice President Suryakant Dhasmana said that this video is spreading very fast and in it the wife of the former BJP MLA has told the entire truth of Ankita murder case. He has demanded that the state government immediately form a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and interrogate this woman to find out the truth. While talking to the journalists, Dhasmana said that it is necessary to investigate who this VVIP person named ‘Gattu’ is. The people of the entire state want to know who this ‘Gattu’ is?

The family can get justice

Congress leader Garima Dasauni has also raised her voice on this matter. He said that there should be a fair, transparent and independent investigation into all aspects of the Ankita Bhandari murder case. The investigation should be such that no culprit gets political protection and the victim’s family gets real justice. He stressed that the public has the right to know who this person named ‘Gattu’ is and what was his role in this case.

The matter is changing into political colour.

On the other hand, BJP has completely rejected these allegations. Party’s state media in-charge Manveer Singh Chauhan issued a statement saying that the woman seen in the video going viral has no connection with BJP. Earlier, that woman and her associated people had been expelled from the party due to indiscipline and misbehavior. Chauhan said that the party had taken strict action, hence now all these baseless allegations are being made. He called it a big conspiracy and said that opposition parties are also involved in it. BJP says that all this is an attempt to rekindle an old issue and there is no truth in it.

‘Gattu’ should be identified

This whole matter now seems to be taking the form of a political fight. On one hand Congress is demanding SIT investigation and making the identity of ‘Gattu’ public, while on the other hand BJP is calling it false and a political conspiracy. There is a lot of discussion about this video among the public and people are curious to know the truth. It remains to be seen what action the government takes on this and whether the investigation of the matter moves forward or not.
