New Ring Road: New Ring Road will be built in Haryana at a cost of Rs 250 crore, these people will get benefits
New Ring Road: Haryana Government has given green signal to a big infrastructure project in view of the rapidly increasing religious tourism and traffic pressure in Kurukshetra. A modern ring road will soon be constructed in the city, for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned an amount of Rs 250 crore. This project is expected to bring major improvement in the traffic system of Kurukshetra.
Giving information about this decision, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that the state government is continuously working towards developing Kurukshetra as a world class religious tourism destination. He said that the promise made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 to give global recognition to Kurukshetra is now visible on the ground.
The proposed ring road will provide relief from traffic jams in the inner parts of the city. Especially during religious events, fairs and festivals, devotees coming in large numbers will get the facility of easy transportation. Through the Ring Road, outsiders and heavy vehicles will be able to get an alternative route without entering the city.
The government says that this project will not only improve the traffic system but will also expand tourism related facilities. Due to better connectivity, opportunities for hotels, business and local employment will increase, which will also give impetus to the economic activities of the area.
