DAC number is similar to OTP, which is sent to your mobile after gas booking and is required to be shown at the time of delivery. What is DAC number?
DAC number means Delivery Authentication Code. This is a unique code, which is sent to the customer every time a gas cylinder is booked. When your cylinder arrives for delivery, the delivery boy asks for this code. The cylinder is given to you only after giving the correct code.

How to get DAC number
When you book an LPG cylinder, a DAC code is sent by the gas company to your registered mobile number, app or WhatsApp. This code is also sent to the same device through which you made the booking, so that there are no technical problems.

This is how this new rule works
When the delivery boy comes to your house, he asks you for your DAC number. You have to tell him this code received in your mobile. Only if the code is correct, the delivery is considered complete. If you do not provide the code, the delivery of the cylinder may be stopped.

What to do if DAC number is not found
Sometimes due to network or technical problem the DAC number is not available on time. In such a situation, do not panic. You can ask the delivery boy to resend the code. Apart from this, it can also be obtained through gas agency or app.
