New rules on car owners from 18th December, challan of more than Rs 7 lakh will be issued, now no petrol without PUCC.

Also, challan of more than Rs 7 lakh will also be deducted if there is no PUCC certificate.

Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that Delhi’s air quality is currently at fair stage and has remained at this level for the last 10 years. He told that last year Delhi’s AQI was 380, whereas this year it was recorded at 363. The minister said that pollution is a disease given by them and the same people are opposing it.

Mountains of garbage reduced Manjinder Singh said that the Delhi government has taken continuous steps to control pollution. Pollution has reduced compared to last year and under the cleanliness campaign in Delhi, 45 acres out of 202 acres has been cleaned. He said that success has been achieved in reducing the mountains of garbage in Delhi by 15 meters.

surveillance in industrial areas The Environment Minister said that the illegal activities in the industrial areas of Delhi were brought under the purview of the government. DPCC has issued more than 2,000 notices, totaling more than Rs 9 crore. To promote the use of biogas, 10,000 heaters have been provided so far. Strict action has also been taken against diesel generators and so far action has been taken against 3,200 generators.

Team of scientists and strict rules The Delhi government has formed a scientific team for pollution control, which held its first meeting on December 12. The minister said that those who do not have PUCC certificate will not get petrol from December 18. Apart from this, any truck bringing construction material into Delhi will be sealed. Old vehicles violating BS6 vehicle norms will also be sealed, even if they are private.

Electric buses and AQI improvement Manjinder Singh said that out of 5,300, 3,427 electric buses have been started in Delhi. In the month of November, AQI has decreased by 20 points compared to last year. He said that efforts are being made to control pollution in Delhi through strict rules and monitoring. This step of Delhi Government is being considered an important initiative towards reducing pollution and providing clean air to the citizens. The crackdown on vehicles without PUCC is expected to reduce vehicular pollution in Delhi.
