New shock of inflation: Commercial LPG cylinder becomes costlier by Rs 218, prices may increase in hotels and restaurants

LPG Price: The government has made a big increase in the prices of commercial LPG cylinders, which has come into effect from today. The price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has been increased by Rs 218, which will further increase the impact of inflation on traders and common people.

According to the new rates, the commercial cylinder in Delhi now costs Rs 2078.50, which was earlier available at Rs 1884.50. Its price has become Rs 2208 in Kolkata, Rs 2031 in Mumbai and Rs 2246.50 in Chennai. Whereas in Patna it has reached Rs 2365 and in Jaipur it has reached Rs 2031.

However, it is a matter of relief that there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder this time.

Prices have increased before also-
Earlier on March 7, domestic cylinders were made costlier by Rs 60 and commercial cylinders by Rs 114.5. In Delhi, the price of 14.2 kg domestic cylinder became Rs 913, which was earlier Rs 853.

Common people will be affected-
The cost of commercial cylinders will have a direct impact on the hotel and restaurant business. There is a possibility that prices of food items may increase, making eating out or ordering in more expensive.
