Swastik Samal was born on 27 July 2000. The 25-year-old made his T20 debut against Mizoram in February 2019, but was out without scoring on two balls. Samal now has 362 runs in 13 T20 matches at a strike rate of 160.88, which includes one century and two half-centuries. Samal made his List A debut against Haryana in October 2019, but could score only 12 runs. Before playing the big innings on Wednesday, he had 309 runs in 10 matches with three half-centuries.
