New update for iPhone users, you will get special features as soon as you download it

Desk: If you use iPhone then Apple has released a new update for you. The company has rolled out iOS 26.2 update for iPhone, which is the second major update of iOS 26 that came in September. In this new version, more customization for Liquid Glass UI, offline lyrics in Apple Music and many safety features have been added. The company recently completed its beta test, after which the stable update is now available for all eligible users. This update makes the iPhone user experience more personal and smarter.

According to Apple, iPhone models which had the beta version of iOS 26.2 installed are getting the stable update. The user will have to go to the Settings app and tap on General and then Software Update. After the update is checked, the option of Download & Install will appear, where the installation will start after accepting the terms. The iPhone may restart more than once during the update, which is normal.

In iOS 26.2, Apple has focused on giving more control to the Liquid Glass user interface. Now new customization options are available for the lock screen clock, through which users can change the opacity of the glass effect. With this, the look of the lock screen can be made more transparent or solid as per the user’s choice. This change especially makes the visual experience of the iPhone more premium.

Apple Music has received two major upgrades in this update. Favorite Songs playlist will now appear in the Top Picks section of the Home tab, allowing quick access to favorite songs. With this, now the lyrics of the songs can be downloaded offline, which can be watched even without internet. Auto-generated chapters have been added to the Podcasts app, making navigation in longer episodes easier and other podcasts mentioned in the episode being listened to can also be directly followed.

Enhanced Safety Alerts feature has been added in iOS 26.2, which will give information about situations like flood, natural disaster and emergency, although it is currently available only in America. Alarm, snooze and Live Activity support is now provided in the Reminders app, so that important tasks are not missed. While sending files to unknown people in AirDrop, now you will have to enter verification code, which will increase security. Apart from this, new filters, real-time score banners and better support for controllers like Backbone and Razer have also been provided in the Games app.
