New York Church Blast: A major accident occurred in New York, America when a massive explosion occurred in a church here. A total of five people, including the church pastor and fire fighter, have been seriously injured in this blast. The explosion occurred around 10:30 am at the Abundant Life Church in Boonville, New York, sending a thick plume of black smoke into the air. According to reports,

Fire fighters had arrived after receiving reports of the smell of gas coming from the church building and were inside when the explosion occurred. Among the injured are a priest and four firefighters. New York State Police are investigating the explosion.

According to police officials, the explosion occurred due to propane cylinders leaking and catching fire. Let us tell you that the main function of propane cylinder is to provide clean, efficient and portable energy to homes, offices and industries. It is a high energy efficiency fuel, used for cooking, home/water heating, running heaters and backup generators.

According to preliminary investigation, a firefighter present on the first floor was opening the windows to vent out the leaking gas. He collides with the wall due to the explosion.

Pastor Brandon Pitts, 43, and four members of the Boonville Fire Department, ranging in age from 43 to 71, were flown to area hospitals after suffering burns, according to reports. According to police, the condition of all five is said to be serious but stable.
