15-member squad announced for Champions Trophy 2025; Know- which players got the chance
New Zealand Squad for Champions Trophy 2025: New Zealand has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025. Whose command will be in the hands of Mitchell Santner. Under the captaincy of Santner, the team had a successful performance in the home ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka. Now this will be the first major ICC tournament for the new captain.

New Zealand's first match in the Champions Trophy 2025 will be against hosts Pakistan on 19 February. The fast bowling trio of Will O'Rourke, Ben Sears and Nathan Smith are all included in the squad for this tournament, who will be playing in their first senior ICC event. Captain Santner is the frontline spin option, while key all-rounders Michael Bracewell, Glenn Phillips and Rachin Ravindra will all be seen playing supporting roles.
Senior players Kane Williamson and Tom Latham provide valuable experience to the team, with Tom Latham taking over the wicketkeeping duties for the tournament. Santner, Williamson and Latham were all part of New Zealand's squad for the previous edition of the Champions Trophy in England and Wales in 2017. Williamson was also involved in the 2013 edition in England.
Matt Henry will lead the fast bowling attack alongside the experienced Lockie Ferguson, who is set to play his fifth ICC event after playing a key role in the last two ICC ODI and T20 World Cups. Jacob Duffy could also join the squad – he has been named as a reserve player. If Lockie Ferguson becomes unavailable due to franchise cricket commitments.
