New Zealand announced ODI and T20 team for India tour, this player got the first chance, Bracewell will take command of ODI
New Zealand Squad: The New Zealand Cricket Board has announced its teams for the white ball series against India to be held in January 2026. The tour will start from January 11, in which the first three ODI matches will be played, followed by five T20 International matches. The specialty of this series is that left-arm spinner Jaden Lennox has got a place in international cricket for the first time, who is a part of the ODI team.
Michael Bracewell will captain New Zealand in the ODI series. Tall fast bowler Kyle Jamieson has returned in both formats, while Mitchell Santner is recovering from injury and has been included only in the T20 team. Santner was out for a long time due to a groin injury and will now lead the team in the T20 series. Apart from them, experienced players like Devon Conway, Darryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips and Will Young are in the team.
Kane Williamson will be out of the ODI series as he will be busy with the SA20 league. Mitch Hay will handle the responsibility of wicketkeeping in ODI, while Devon Conway will be seen wearing gloves in T20.
