Womens T20 World Cup 2024: The new champion of the Women's T20 World Cup has been declared. The New Zealand team reached the finals of the Women's T20 World Cup 2009 and 2010. In 2009 the team lost to England and in 2010 to Australia. However, the Australian women's cricket team shattered the Proteas team's dream of winning the title. Now South Africa has faced defeat in the final for the second consecutive time.
New Zealand team did not have a good start
Talking about the final match, South Africa women's team won the toss and decided to bowl first. New Zealand cricket team, batting first, scored 158 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Amelia Kerr was the top scorer with 43 runs. In reply, the South African team could score only 126 runs in 20 overs.
