New Zealand player banned, part of IPL team! Big reason revealed

New Zealand fast bowler Doug Bracewell has been banned for one month. He has been found consuming cocaine and due to this he has been banned for one month.

The 34-year-old bowler was caught consuming a banned substance after a T20 match between Central Stags and Wellington in January this year. His test came positive. Bracewell took 2 wickets for 21 runs in that match and, even while batting, scored 30 runs on just 11 balls. Due to this he was chosen player of the match.

It was later revealed that he had consumed a banned substance before the start of the tournament. For this reason no major restrictions were imposed on him. Apart from this, Bracewell has also participated in a treatment program to stop using this banned substance.

Doug Bracewell's ban is over

Doug Bracewell's one-month ban was imposed in April 2024 and so his sentence has already been completed. In such a situation, he can go ahead and play. Talking about Dub Bracewell's career, so far he has played 28 Tests, 21 ODIs and 20 T20 matches for New Zealand in his career. Bracewell took 74 wickets in test matches. Took 26 wickets in ODI and 20 wickets in T20 International. He played his last Test match for New Zealand in March 2023.

Doug Bracewell has been a part of Delhi Capitals team in IPL.

Let us tell you that Dub Bracewell has also played in IPL. He was a part of Delhi Capitals team in IPL. But he has got a chance to play only one match in his career. He played for Delhi Capitals against RCB in IPL 2012. In that match, he took 3 wickets for 32 runs in 4 overs. After this he was not seen in IPL.
