NewJeans’ Minji drops emotional note to fans amidst contract termination with ADOR

After NewJeans’ contract with ADOR was terminated, Minji recently posted her sentiments on the group’s new social media page. Members are experiencing emotional conflict for the uncertain future as a result of the ongoing conflict.

Despite the lengthy recording session and the frigid ambience, Newjeans’ Minji sent an emotional message for fans on their new Instagram page, “jeanzforfree,” on December 22, 2024, thanking the Bunnies (NewJeans fandom) for their everlasting support and encouragement. Even though fan performances are always memorable, she said that day’s encounter felt especially unique and memorable.

Fans eventually found the hidden place where Minji penned, “I’ll cry later when I can feel at ease.” NewJeans participated in the pre-recording for MBC’s “Gayo Daejejeon.” Post their performance, some members, including Hanni, were moved to tears, according to fans who attended the event.

NewJeans previously declared their decision to end their exclusive contracts with ADOR at an emergency news conference. The company’s inability to satisfy the group’s requests was the cause of the sudden decision. They also made it clear that ADOR’s violation of duty, not their own fault, was the reason for the termination of their contracts.

In response to the contract termination, ADOR announced that it had filed a lawsuit with the Seoul Central District Court to uphold its exclusive contracts with NewJeans. In an official statement, the agency expressed regret over the situation and added that the decision to pursue legal action was not taken lightly.
