News – Companies should focus on calling-MSS, option of cheap recharge will be available.
New Delhi. Jio, Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL users may soon get the option of cheap recharge. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has asked all telecom operators to launch calling and MSS focused plans for consumers, which also offer validity. If we look at the portfolio of telecom operators, all the plans are focused on data i.e. calling, SMS and data are available in it. In such a situation, many users who do not need data also have to pay for the data.
Due to lack of such a plan, users of Jio, Airtel and Vodafone Idea have to spend around Rs 200 every month to keep their SIM active. There are also some users who want long term plans. You will not find a long term plan that focuses only on calling and SMS.
TRAI, in its order issued on December 23, said that telecom service providers will have to issue STVs that come with only voice calling and SMS facilities, so that consumers pay only for the service they use. . This will have a big impact on the business of telecom companies. TRAI had earlier also sought suggestions from companies on this, in which telecom companies had opposed it. The companies said that there was no need for any new such plan. Such plans already exist for consumers. Let us tell you that telecom companies have ended the facility of lifetime free incoming a few years ago.
After this, customers have to do minimum recharge every month to keep their SIM card active. At the same time, in July this year, telecom companies have also increased the prices of their recharge plans. Because of this, consumers have to spend around Rs 200 every month just to keep the SIM active. Data is provided in all plans. In such a situation, even those users who do not need data have to pay for this service. Whereas in BSNL, 30 days plan comes for Rs 147, in which users get 10 GB data along with calling and SMS. Even users who do not need this data have to pay for it.
