News – JSW MG Motor India launches Windsor car

New Delhi . Recently JSW MG Motor India has launched its first electric car Windsor. This car is a joint venture between SAIC Motor and JSW Group. The starting price of this model Windsor has fallen below Rs 10 lakh, making it an affordable option in the electric car market.
Windsor received an overwhelming response in October 2024, with over 20,000 bookings and 3,000 units sold. The BaaS option was chosen by 15 percent of customers, and the company sold 4,878 units in October, making it India's second-largest electric car company. JSW MG's market share increased from 16.5 percent in September to 34 percent in the first 20 days of November. The reason for this success is the cheap price of the car and new technology like BaaS, which makes electric cars more affordable for customers.
The company aims to achieve 60-70 percent of sales from new energy vehicles by 2028. JSW MG has also launched its cheapest electric model Comet this year on BaaS model, giving customers even more affordable options. JSW MG aims to achieve 30 percent share in the electric car market by 2030. This car has a special Battery as a Service option, through which customers pay an average fare of Rs 3.5 per kilometer instead of purchasing the battery.
