News – Ola Electric facing continuously falling sales
New Delhi. Ola electric scooter in India is now facing continuously falling sales. According to sales data till January 2025, Ola Electric has sold 6,655 electric scooters, reducing its market share to 18 percent.
Last year, Ola's share was around 50-52 percent, and in 2024 the company had achieved 35 percent share by selling more than 4 lakh scooters, but now its position has become weak. Meanwhile, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor have taken the lead in the electric two-wheeler segment. Both the companies together have achieved 48 percent market share. TVS has taken the number one position with 23 percent market share by selling 9,800 scooters in the first 15 days of January. Bajaj has secured the second position with 25 percent share by selling 8,694 electric vehicles. Last month's sales situation was also challenging for Ola. In December 2024, Bajaj achieved a fourth share of the EV market by selling 18,276 Chetak electric scooters. TVS stood second by selling 17,212 i-Cube scooters, while Ola stood third by selling 13,769 scooters. During this period, Ola's market share has declined by about 19 percent. Let us tell you that due to lack of improvement in the quality of products and after sale service, customers have started staying away from the company, which has affected its sales.
