Mumbai: Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange at Lilavati Hospital has issued this statement to the press after the surgery. They say that Saif Ali Khan was admitted to Lilavati Hospital at 2 am with the report of being attacked by an unknown person. He suffered serious injuries to the thoracic spine, with a knife lodged in his spinal cord. Emergency surgery was performed to remove the knife and repair the leaking spinal fluid. Additionally, two deep wounds on her left hand and one on her neck were treated by the plastic surgery team. Dr. Dange said that I am happy to confirm that Saif Ali Khan is now completely stable, recovering well and is out of danger.

Lilavati Hospital had earlier issued a statement regarding the attack on Saif Ali Khan, in which it was told where he suffered injuries. According to the hospital, Saif Ali Khan was attacked at 6 places and the actor suffered deep injuries at 2 places on his body. The neck and spinal cord were attacked with a knife.
