Display of strength seen in Delhi BJP’s ‘Khichdi Utsav’, executive president Nitin Nabin strongly congratulated
New Delhi: On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, tremendous enthusiasm and political activity was seen in the state office of Delhi Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday. The occasion was ‘Makar Sankranti Milan Samaroh’, in which the newly appointed National Working President of BJP Nitin Nabin was grandly felicitated by the Delhi unit. Amidst the beat of drums and slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’, ‘Jai Shri Ram’, the workers welcomed their new working president. The main feature of this program was the presence of the newly appointed National Working President of BJP Nitin Nabin.
Message of sweetness and unity of sesame and jaggery
Delhi BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva, who was hosting the program, welcomed Nitin Nabin in a traditional manner. He made Nabeen wear a Makhana necklace and presented Khichdi and Til-Kut as symbols of Makar Sankranti. Addressing the workers, Sachdeva said, “Today is a day of double happiness. On one hand, Surya Dev Uttarayan is happening, and on the other hand, we have got a hardworking and young leadership like Nitin Nabin ji. Every worker of Delhi BJP today takes a pledge that we will dedicate ourselves to the service of Delhi under his guidance.”
State President Virendra Sachdeva, while congratulating all the people of Delhi on the occasion, said, “This festival of Makar Sankranti is a symbol of harmony and brotherhood in the society. We believe that just as sunlight dispels darkness, similarly with the blessings of the people of Delhi, a new dawn of prosperity will come in the state.
Overwhelmed by the welcome, Nitin Nabin praised the Delhi BJP team. National Executive President Nitin Nabin said, “Makar Sankranti is a festival of change. Today, the enthusiasm of Delhi BJP workers shows that they are fully prepared for the development of Delhi and strengthening of the organization. BJP is not just a political party but a family and Khichdi Utsav teaches us the lesson of this unity.” Pointing towards the upcoming organizational work and elections, he called upon the workers to take the public welfare schemes of the Central Government to every household of Delhi.
Khichdi feast and cultural gathering
‘Khichdi Bhoj’ was organized during the function, in which everyone from senior party leaders to booth level workers ate together. During this, thousands of workers including Delhi MP, Assembly Speaker, former Mayor, MLA, Corporation Councilor were present. Kuljeet Chahal, Virendra Sachdeva, National General Secretary Arun Singh, BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia Assembly, Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta, Sanjay Mayukh, Purvanchal Morcha Delhi President Sanjay Ojha, Kamaljeet Sehrawat, General Secretary Vishnu Mittal were present on the stage.
Let us tell you that during the program the entire office premises was decorated with saffron flags and flowers. Following the tradition of Makar Sankranti, prasad of sesame-jaggery and khichdi was also distributed among the workers. This program has taken place at a time when Nitin Nabin is soon going to take charge as the full-time national president of the party. This grand welcome ceremony organized by Delhi BJP has made it clear that the organization is fully prepared for the coming political challenges. At the same time, there is great enthusiasm among the workers about the new leadership.
