Paddy purchase made easier with digital token, farmers are getting direct benefits
Raipur : The transparent and digital system implemented at paddy procurement centers in the state is proving to be a boon for the farmers. Due to the digital token system, the process of selling paddy has not only become simple and easy, but there is also significant saving in time, labor and expenses of the farmers.
Marginal farmer Dnyaneshwar Prasad Vaishnav, resident of Gram Panchayat Mudesa of Ambikapur development block, said that his paddy crop has been better this year. He had a total of 45.60 quintals of paddy, for which he cut the first token sitting at home through the Kisan Tuhar Token App. Due to the digital system, they did not need to go to the procurement center again and again to get the token deducted.
Vaishnav told that as soon as he reached the procurement center, he was issued a gate pass, moisture test was done and gunny bags were immediately provided to him. The entire paddy selling process was well organized and no problem was faced. He also said that adequate arrangements for drinking water and seating have been made for the farmers in the centres, which provided a comfortable environment. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the state is getting the highest support price of Rs 3100 per quintal for paddy, due to which the farmers are getting direct economic benefits. They are using the amount received in the cultivation of wheat, oilseeds and other crops including vegetables, due to which their income is continuously increasing.
Marginal farmer Dnyaneshwar Prasad Vaishnav, while appreciating the present transparent, digital and farmer-friendly system of paddy procurement, expressed his gratitude towards Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai and said that the farmers are satisfied and happy with this system.
